RAW Thoughts As It Happens 9/29/08
Here we go. Big RAW tonight. 8 man tag looks sick.
Here comes Batista. Batista vs. Santino. This is going to be awesome. Santino pulls out the “Brain Barometer” and says that Batista has 12 brain cells and he is going to knocked out 10 of them in this match. Great stuff. Santino takes a Spinebuster and a Batista Bomb and loses. Winner: Batista. After the match JBL comes out of nowhere and Clotheslines Batista and leaves him laying in the middle of the ring.
HBK interview backstage and says he is going to be Champion after No Mercy. Grisham asks him who is mystery partner is going to be tonight. He says its not Batista. He says he wants to find a tag partner who actually likes him. HHH, obviously.
JTG vs. The Miz up now. This could be good. JTG was distracted when Morrison got on the apron, Gaspar took him out, but The Miz hit JTG with a knee, then a Neckbreaker for the win. Fun little match. Morrison’s upperbody is fucking like an action figure. Winner: The Miz.
Noble is in the back trying to get Jillian to be his partner vs. Katie Lea and Paul Burchill. Jillian says that if Layla didn’t want to be see with her, then what makes him think someone better than her would. I don’t know, Layla is the best looking diva, but Jillian is much uglier. Then Dolph Zigler comes up to them and introduces himself. Noble gives him an attitude. The more Noble the better, for me at least.
Jamie Noble vs. Katie Lea/Paul Burchill. This is supposed to be an inter-gender match, but Noble doesn’t have a partner. Now he does, here comes Mickie James. Regal and Layla are watching from the stage. Noble is happier than shit now, hes all excited that Mickie came out. I love Mickie’s thick legs and ass. She is the perfect size. Noble put an Armbar on Burchill and made him submit. Winners: Mickie James and Jamie Noble.
They come back from commercial and Rhodes/Dibiase/Manu are in Kane’s boiler room. Cody tells him they need to work as a team. Kane says he is going to massacre Rey Mysterio tonight and tells the 3 of them to stay out of his way. Kane says he is going to see his good friend Mike Adamle.
Lance Cade is on the stage with a mic. What a giant waste of time that was. That promo almost put me to sleep. It took him 3 minutes to say Jericho will still be Champion after No Mercy.
The 8 Man Tag is on now. CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, Kofi Kingston, and Evan Bourne vs. Ted Dibiase, Cody Rhodes, Manu, and Kane. Here we go, this is going to kick ass. Holy shit. Another commercial already. The first part of the match was all dives to the outside by the face team, crowd was going nuts. If that doesn’t make you keep watching the match, nothing will. Kane was in the corner Kofi went to do his jump onto turnbuckle deal and Kane caught him in mid-air by the throat and Chokeslammed him to get the win for his team. Great match for the time given. If it was longer and on PPV, it would’ve been fantastic. Winners: Ted Dibiase, Cody Rhodes, Manu, and Kane.
Mike Adamle is in the ring. He announces that if Mysterio loses his match vs. Kane at the PPV, he has to take his mask off. Orton’s music hits, here he comes. Orton talks some shit to Adamle and JBL heads to the ring. JBL says he is the next Championm Batista’s music hits and he comes up to JBL from behind just like JBL did to him earlier, and hits him with a spear and leaves him laying.
Santino and Beth are in the locker room and Beth tells Santino to not come to the ring for her match tonight. Santino says good thing Beth doesn’t have a Fabulous Moolah Meter because shes trailing her by like 22 years. Santino says Beth must be on period.
Here comes the sexiest piece of ass in the WWE, Kelly Kelly, with the second best woman in WWE, Candice Michelle. This is like a dream tag team for me. And when I say dream, I mean I want to fuck both of them in many different positions. They are facing Jillian Hall and WWE Women’s Champion, Beth Phoenix. I forget the ref’s name but he is the most obnoxious fuck I’ve ever seen. He is way too loud. Beth is like twice the size of Kelly Kelly. She picked her up like nothing and hit her finisher for the win. Winners: Beth Phoenix and Jillian Hall. Kelly is getting better, she just needs more moves because she uses the same shit every week. Candice has been looking sloppy since shes been back.
Deuce is in the ring and The Great Khali’s music hits. But it is The Great Charli. Hes got some shit on his chin to match Khali’s. Now he is talking gibberish. He even has a translator. He is using Khali’s moves only. Good stuff, this is better than the Perfect video, which I didn’t like at all. He just took off the wig and is wrestling as himself, and got the win. Winner: The Great Charli. He put the wig back on after and Khali comes out. Haas is clapping for him, Khali looks like he is trying not to laugh. Haas tries to shake hands, but Khali gives him the Chop Of Doom. Damn, I was hoping that Charlie would be a mini-me of Khali and be his lackey. That would’ve been way better.
They are showing a Wrestlemania video now, previewing the show that is going to air on MyNetwork TV on Thursday.
Cade and Jericho are in the ring waiting for HBK and his partner and DX’s music hits. HHH is the partner. Crowd goes buckwild. HHH looks weird as hell wearing a hat. A 8 minute main event featuring the return of DX. What a waste that was. Ended in a DQ, because Cade and Jericho were double teaming HBK. Jericho ended up getting away and left Cade to be destroyed. He took Sweet Chin Music then a Pedigree. Then HHH set up a ladder in the ring and HBK hit Cade with a Splash. Show ended. Winners: DX.
They should’ve done without the early Cade promo and gave more time to the main event. The 8 man could’ve been longer too. It was a pretty good show though, made me interested in No Mercy.
