RAW Thoughts As It Happens 10/27/08
Chris Jericho starts off the show announcing that he will be using his rematch clause next week, and will face Batista for the Title. Adamle came out and said to make sure there is no interference, the match will take place inside a steel cage. Orton comes out, dissed the fuck out of Adamle, calling him a failed father, Adamle slaps him and Orton gets in his face, but then leaves the ring.
Kofi Kingston/CM Punk vs. Ted Dibiase/Cody Rhodes. Good match. New Champs. Punk hit the GTS on Dibiase and covered him for the win.
Winners: And NEW WWE Tag Team Champions, CM Punk and Kofi Kingston. Nice to see Punk with a belt.
Honky Tonk Man, Goldust, and Roddy Piper are coming out as guest commentators for Santino’s match. Santino gets on the mic before the match and tells all the pregnant ladies in the audience to look at the three of them and realize that this is what happens when you do drugs. Santino says Beth is pretty, then her music hits and Haas comes out dressed as her. Match never happened. Santino attacked Haas on the outside, then slapped Honky. Santino tried to run, but Goldust and Piper cut him off, Honky came from behind and hit him with the guitar.
Michael Cole is in the ring and he introduces the new World Champion, Batista. He said he couldn’t be happier and it took him along time to get back on top. I guess this was just an excuse to get him on TV the night after he won the title. Nobody came out, nothing happened.
Kelly Kelly/Candice Michelle/Mickie James vs. Jillian Hall/Katie Lea/Layla. Quick match. Another waste of time basically. Kelly Kelly pinned Katie. Winners: Kelly/Candice/Mickie. RAW is not very good tonight, except for Punk/Kofi. But next is EVAN BOURNE VS. REY MYSTERIO. The show picks up here.
Evan Bourne vs. Rey Mysterio. It started off good and they immediately went to commercial when the match was a stalemate. Why would they go to commercial during an awesome match like this? Pretty good match, I was expecting better I guess. But its only RAW, so I was kidding myself. It was good though. Rey rolled up Bourne for the win. Winner: Rey Mysterio. Kane came out after the match and Rey told Bourne to leave this was his business to handle. Kane went after Rey, got the upperhand, Bourne made the save. They were double teaming him, when out of nowhere Mark Henry comes out and takes out Bourne. They stand over Bourne and Rey and they go to commercial.
Another Cena video. Does this make 4 or 5 weeks in a row? Hes only been gone like 3 months. Give it a rest.
Chris Jericho came out for the main event, then they cut to the back and JBL attacked HBK and threw him in what looked to be a closet. Now he is coming out. It is a handicap match now. Towards the end of the match, HBK comes out to the ring. He gets tagged in, but the ref doesn’t see it and he tells HBK to get out of the ring. Batista then hit JBL with the Batista bomb and pins him for the win. Winners: HBK and Batista. I have no idea why HBK even came out. He had nothing to do with the finish. He wasn’t involved at all, really.
Not a very good RAW. I am guessing alot will be saved for next week’s 3 hour special.
