Lance Cade Released

  WWE released Lance Cade, which would explain him not being on RAW last night.  He was going to be feuding with his trainer HBK, but obviously not anymore.  I’d like to see Cade/Murdoch as a team in ROH for a weekend.

Matt Hardy vs. Mark Henry

Todd Grisham announces that Jerry Lawler is filling in for Matt Striker tonight. No word of Striker’s whereabouts. Mark Henry comes to ringside first. Matt Hardy, with the ECW Championship around his waist, comes out next.

Tony Chimmel gives the formal in-ring introductions as Tony Atlas hops out of the ring. Lots of heat on Henry, lively crowd tonight in Portland.

Wrestlemania Special Does Shitty Rating

I bet WWE is so sad right now.  With all the promoting they did for the Wrestlemania special on their debut show on MyNetwork TV, it only did a 1.2 broadcast rating.  What makes it even worse is, the magic special that aired after the show, did a 1.4.  Thats not very good news for them.

Stone Cold’s New Movie - “Damaged”

Stone Cold Steve Austin has a new movie coming out entitled, “Damage”, directed by Jeff King.  It will begin filming on October 17th in Vancouver, British Columbia.  The film will be based around an underground fighting scene.  Stone Cold will be playing the main character, John Brickner, who is a recently released felon who is forced to enter the world of illegal underground fighting.

It is not a WWE Studios film.

Big Show Appearing On Attack Of The Show Tomorrow

Tonight on Attack Of The Show on G4 they announced that Big Show will be a guest on tomorrow’s show at 7PM to discuss “the new season of WWE Smackdown”.  They didn’t mention the show moving to MyNetwork TV, but I would assume they will tomorrow.

RAW Thoughts As It Happens 9/29/08

Here we go.  Big RAW tonight.  8 man tag looks sick.

Here comes Batista.  Batista vs. Santino.  This is going to be awesome.  Santino pulls out the “Brain Barometer” and says that Batista has 12 brain cells and he is going to knocked out 10 of them in this match.  Great stuff.  Santino takes a Spinebuster and a Batista Bomb and loses.  Winner: Batista.  After the match JBL comes out of nowhere and Clotheslines Batista and leaves him laying in the middle of the ring.

HBK interview backstage and says he is going to be Champion after No Mercy.  Grisham asks him who is mystery partner is going to be tonight.  He says its not Batista.  He says he wants to find a tag partner who actually likes him.  HHH, obviously.

Now this is what I call a fucking awesome DVD.  With the Perfect DVD being Perfect, the Hell In A Cell DVD, and this Eddie DVD, WWE is on the mother fucking ball.  And if the Starrcade DVD really does happen, it doesn’t get any better than that.
