The opening montage aired… Todd Grisham and Matt Striker introduced the show and hyped the eight-man tag main event…

- Tommy Dreamer and Finlay (w/Hornswoggle) vs. Mike Knox and Jack Swagger. Grisham said they’d been waiting for Swagger to step up in competition and “tonight is that night.” Dreamer took control of the match, but was cut off by a big boot from Knox before the break. (Commercial)

CM Punk and Kofi Kingston return to ECW for one night only and will team with Evan Bourne and Ricky Ortiz in a 8 man tag against The Miz, John Morrison, Ted Dibiase, and Cody Rhodes

ECW On SciFi Thoughts and Results 9/30/08

Tiffany starts of ECW in the ring with Teddy Long and she introduces Matt Hardy and Mark Henry next.  Long says he wants to give each man the time to talk before their match this Sunday at No Mercy, crowd is completely silent.  Henry says that nobody beat him for the ECW title and Sunday he will right all of the wrongs.  Matt says he is going to prove himself at No Mercy, then The Miz and Morrison come out.  Morrison calls Bourne and Ricky Ortiz nerds and say that they want them in a match tonight.  Long says that it will be Morrison/Miz/Henry vs. Matt Hardy/Bourne/Ricky Ortiz.
