WWE Unforgiven 2008 Preview
This year’s Unforgiven doesn’t really look like it will be entertaining, except for the HBK/Jericho match. Why they are having three of the same matches is beyond me. I see the Smackdown Scramble being the best of the trio. There are only six matches announced so maybe they throw in a Beth or Santino match or something, maybe a promo. Divas Championship Match: Michelle McCool (c.) vs. Maryse. Honestly, I don’t even know the history between the two or why the match is happening. Neither of them are particularly good wrestlers so I expect this to be horrible and short. Michelle will win just because she is considered to be the leader of the Divas on Smackdown. Plus, she dates Taker so shes got a top spot. At least this will give me a chance to take a piss or get some food.
World Tag Team Championship Match: Ted Dibiase/Cody Rhodes (c.) vs. Cryme Tyme. Cryme Tyme is one of the most over things on RAW. They aren’t very good wrestlers, but that isn’t the only thing to consider. They have tons of charisma and in my opnion, would be good champions for awhile. Ted and Cody are the shit without the belts so they don’t need them. Its about time they put the belts on Cryme Tyme. I have Cryme Tyme taking the belts, for real this time, not just stealing them.
ECW Championship Scramble: Mark Henry (c.) vs. The Miz vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. Finlay vs. Matt Hardy. I have hopes for this being a good match, but I don’t know. Henry is pretty good for a big man, Finlay is the shit and so is Matt Hardy. Chavo has his moments and I don’t know if Miz will be good as a singles wrestler in a match with four other guys. Its hard to say how the match will end, because there are two other matches with the same stips. They could have Matt win the title and be intermin champion, then have Henry win it back at the last second or they could do that for the RAW Scramble and have Punk win at the last second. I think Henry pulls out the win, possibly holding the title the entire match.
World Heavyweight Title Scramble: CM Punk (c.) vs. Kane vs. JBL vs. Batista vs. Rey Mysterio. This should be a pretty good match. I think Kane and Mysterio will end up canceling eachother out and brawl to the back or through the crowd. Batista is going to win the title at some point in the match, maybe pinning Punk. At the end of the match, I think Batista will give JBL a Batista Bomb, then maybe Punk knocks Batista out of the ring and pins JBL at the last second, and retains his title. I have a feeling Punk is leaving this PPV still champion.
WWE Championship Scramble: HHH (c.) vs. Brian Kendrick vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. MVP. This should be the best of the scrambles, I think. Too much talent in there for it not to be. I am going out on a limb right now and saying that Brian Kendrick is leaving this match Champion. Laugh all you want, but he was not on any of the house shows this weekend. Maybe they just didn’t want him to get injured, but that could be because he is going to win. They have to have a title change in one of the matches at least, and I think this is the one.
Unsanctioned Match: Chris Jericho vs. HBK. This should be the main event and it better be. It is going to be the best match on the PPV, easily. HBK’s injury isn’t as serious as previously thought and he might not need surgery. You know they are going to pull out everything they have. This might be their last match, I don’t know. If it is the blow off to the feud, HBK wins, but if there is another match, Jericho wins here. But since I don’t know either way, I say Jericho wins this match. HBK will get revenge at another time. I just really hope this is the main event, because it deserves to be. It is the only match on the card that is guaranteed to be fucking awesome.
