WWE RAW Thoughts 8/04/08

Mike Adamle starts off the show, this can’t be good.  Crowd hates this douche bag.  Is he really comparing himself to Ronald Reagan?  Bring Jeff Harvey out and put this mother fucker through a table.  Is that the first time “Message Boards” has been said on WWE TV?  HE WAS JUST READING OFF OF THE PIECE OF PAPER HE IS HOLDING!  Crowd is really, really loud for this opening segment.  Here comes JBL demanding Adamle put him in the championship match at Summerslam.  Jericho comes out and says the same thing.  JBL says that Jericho isn’t in his league.  Jericho begs to differ.  Adamle announces Punk vs. Jericho/JBL in a handicap match and if Punk loses, whoever pins him gets the title shot at Summerslam but if Punk wins nobody gets the shot.  Somehow this is going to end in a no contest, probably with Kane interfering, making it a 4 way at Summerslam.

ROH In Japan Line-ups

Ring Of Honor will return to Japan for two huge events on September 13th and 14th. Both cards will be held at Differ Ariake in Tokyo. The first night will feature the stars of Dragon Gate while the second night will see cooperation from Pro Wrestling NOAH, Kensuke Office and DDT. ROH Newswire 8/04/08

August 4th: Thank you to the fans in Manassas and Manhattan for making last weekend’s events a huge success. One of the big news items coming out of the weekend is that Brent Albright defeated Adam Pearce last Saturday in Manhattan to win the NWA World Heavyweight Title. This is the first time the historic NWA World Heavyweight Title has changed hands in New York City. Albright revealed in an exclusive interview immediately after his title win with the ROH podcast team (available at www.ROHmedia.com) that he will defend the belt on 8/16 in Chicago.
